Animal Control and Code Enforcement
The City of Itasca prides itself in its appearance. The City Administrator works hand in hand with the Animal Control and Code Enforcement Officer to ensure the City continues to look great. The job of the Code Enforcement Officer is to assure all ordinances are being followed which includes high grass, junk vehicles and general cleanliness of the City as the Animal Control Officer picks up stray dogs, answers animal complaint calls and enforces that animals within the City are registered with City Hall.
Prices for Registrations and Fines
Dog or Cat Registration- $3.00 Per Animal
Capture of Animal- $25.00
Impound Fee for 1st Offense- $50.00
Impound Fee 2nd Offense and Subsequent Offenses-$75.00
The Actual Cost of any medical treatment and medication
For pickup and disposal of dead animal- $15.00
For an animal which is voluntarily surrendered to the city by the owner- $65.00
Owner of the animal shall pay following fees for service rendered.
